Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers about how StudyAce works. Still stuck? The about page goes deeper, or you can reach us on the contact page.
Is StudyAce really free?
Yes. Every practice question, answer, and worked explanation is free to use, and there is no account to create. The site is supported by advertising, which is what lets it stay free for students who can't pay for a prep course.
Are these official College Board or ACT questions?
No. Every question on this site is original and written in-house. We are an independent study resource, not affiliated with or endorsed by the College Board or ACT, Inc. We do not reproduce official exam questions, passages, or scoring rubrics — when it's useful we link to the test maker's own released PDFs and add our own original analysis.
How current is the content?
Questions are written against the current College Board and ACT Course & Exam Descriptions and are organized by the same units and skills the exams use this year. When the curriculum changes, the question bank is updated and outdated questions are marked rather than shown as current.
Who writes the questions and explanations?
They are written by the person who runs the site, working unit by unit from the official exam outlines. Every multiple-choice question includes a full written explanation, a short key takeaway, and a separate rationale for each wrong answer choice.
How do you check questions for accuracy?
Before a question is published it has to pass a strict quality gate: exactly one defensible correct answer, a genuine explanation, a rationale for every distractor, and a difficulty rating that matches reality. Drafts also get a second review, including a separate accuracy pass, before going live. We'd rather publish fewer questions we can stand behind than a flood we can't.
Do I need to create an account?
No. You can start any practice test immediately. Your progress is stored anonymously in your own browser, so you can pick up where you left off without signing in or handing over an email address.
How is my data handled, and what about the ads?
Progress is kept locally in your browser. Ads are served through Google AdSense, and you control what is loaded from the cookie preferences page. Full details are in our privacy policy.
Can I use these questions in my classroom?
Teachers and tutors are welcome to use the site with students. If you'd like to talk about classroom use, syndication, or anything beyond ordinary personal study, reach out through the contact page.
I found a mistake — what should I do?
Please tell us. Corrections from students and teachers are the fastest way the site improves. Send the subject, unit, and question along with what you think is wrong through the contact page, and we'll review it.
