StudyAce is a free study site. We collect a minimum of information needed to operate the service.
What we collect
- Anonymous identifier — a random UUID stored in your browser's localStorage so we can show your test results and improve content. It is not tied to any personal information.
- Aggregate analytics — pageviews, referrers, devices, and country (no IP address stored).
- Practice attempt data — the answers you submit, kept under your anonymous identifier.
Advertising
We display ads through Google AdSense and may use other ad networks in the future. These services use cookies to deliver and personalize ads. You can opt out of personalized advertising at adssettings.google.com.
Cookies
We use three categories of cookies:
- Essential — required for the site to function (e.g. saving your cookie preference).
- Advertising — set by Google AdSense and its partners to deliver and measure ads.
- Analytics — anonymous aggregate usage data so we can improve the site.
You can review and change your choices anytime at cookie preferences. We do not sell personal information.
Data retention
Anonymous attempt data is retained indefinitely so your progress remains available on the device that created it. Aggregate analytics are retained for 24 months and then deleted.
Children under 13
StudyAce is intended for high-school-aged students and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us and we will delete it.
Your rights
If you are in the EEA, UK, California, or another jurisdiction with data-protection laws, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete the data we hold about you. Because we do not associate your activity with any personal identifier, requests should include the anonymous identifier from your browser's localStorage. Contact us for any data request.
